Certain courses offered by Herman and Wallace will require participants to perform an internal assessment on another patient. Course attendees must come prepared to work as both a clinician and a patient for these courses and if unable to act as a patient, the course attendee should bring a model for internal assessment. An internal assessment includes an examination of a woman's internal pelvic organs, or the colorectal structures of either a woman or man.
