Joyce Steele, PT, DPT, CEEAA, BCB-PMD, PRPC originally from Canada, received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1997, graduating with distinction from the University of Alberta. After 14 years of practice where she worked with a wide range of clients from geriatrics to weekend warriors to professional athletes, and treated a variety of conditions from post op to general orthopedic dysfunctions, she turned her focus towards treating women throughout their lifespan. She enjoys treating all women’s health issues – focusing on empowering the patient. She has a passion for continuing education and staying current with treatment techniques – which has resulted in a long and varied list of continuing education certificates. Conditions treated include bowel and bladder dysfunction, dyspareunia, incontinence, pelvic floor dyssynergia, overactive/underactive pelvic floor syndromes, prolapse, IC, post-natal complications, vaginismus, pudendal neuralgia and pelvic pain.

Her current treatment techniques are focused on client education, manual therapy and biofeedback. She is certified as an Exercise Expert of the Aging Adult (CEEAA) through the American Physical Therapy Association Section of Geriatrics; certified by the Biofeedback Certification International Association for Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction (BCB-PMD) and certified for upper and lower extremity instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization by FAKTR. Most recently she was a part of the first group to achieve the Pelvic Rehabilitation Provider Certification, or PRPC. The PRPC is the only certification available that recognizes pelvic rehabilitation providers treating men and women across the lifespan. Joyce is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association – Section of Geriatrics and Women’s Health, the International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS), and the International Continence Society (ICS).
