Laurie Griffis, MPT, PRPC, graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene College in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. She then attended Andrews University where she graduated with her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2002. Laurie has experience in multiple physical therapy settings including orthopedic outpatient, inpatient acute care, and home health care. She also worked as a travelling physical therapist before settling in New Mexico. In 2007 Laurie decided to pursue a specialty in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation and initiated her training with the Herman and Wallace courses. She was excited to take and pass the inaugural certification exam in 2014. Laurie has built strong relationships with the physicians who treat pelvic floor dysfunction in Albuquerque and has given several talks to the community on various pelvic floor topics. Laurie has found her work in the pelvic floor field to be very rewarding; she has seen it make a difference in many of her patient’s lives. Laurie works at Lovelace Women’s Hospital Outpatient Therapy Clinic.
