Joy Friley PT PRPC has been practicing for the last 21 years with the last 6 ½ years concentrating on pelvic rehabilitation conditions. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Memphis in 1992. The first 15 years of her practice she focused on neurologic rehabilitation at Patricia Neal Rehab center both in and out patient as well as home care. She moved to Parkwest Outpatient Clinic in February of 2008 to begin the pelvic rehab program for both men and women. In September of 2013, she expanded services to two clinical locations in the Knoxville area.
Over the course of the last 6 plus years she has focused her attention on attending continuing education focusing on incontinence, post pelvic and abdominal surgeries, pregnancy, vulvodynia, interstitial cystitis, post prostatectomy, male and female chronic pelvic pain, and colorectal and coccyx conditions. She received her PRPC certification in 2014. She co-founded a female pelvic pain support group in 2013. She is a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Section on Women’s Health.
