After many years of practicing in outpatient orthopedic clinics, Katarzyna realized there was a need for Staten Islanders to have their own pelvic floor and cranio-facial specialists. She dedicated herself to that mission by taking courses from the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Institute and University of St. Augustine for Health Science. The training has allowed her to open KTS Physical Therapy, where she currently treats male and female patients with pelvic dysfunctions and work for Masefield & Cavallaro Physical Therapy as a TMJ dysfunctions specialist.
Katarzyna earned her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 2001 from the Academy of Physical Education in Poland, and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of St. Augustine for Health Science in Florida in 2011. Since graduating, she has completed additional physical therapy certification courses, including certification in pelvic and cranio-facial rehabilitation. Kate believes each certification provides her with extra tools to treat her patients more effectively, and will allow her to bring increased awareness about non-invasive treatment methods for pelvic floor disorders.
