Emily began practicing physical therapy in 2000 after earning her degree from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in downtown Oklahoma City. She began specializing in pelvic health rehabilitation in 2008 when she began her current position at OU Physicians Womens Pelvic & Bladder Health Clinic. The urogynecology clinic where she enjoys working has earned recognition as a National Center of Excellence for Incontinence where she works closely with physicians and mid-level providers.
She is frequently asked why she chose to specialize in pelvic health rehabilitation. Upon being introduced to the different specialties available in physical therapy practice while in physical therapy school, she became instanteously fascinated with pelvic health rehabilitation. She has a naturally curious mind and loves soaking in all the information she can learn about pelvic health by attending continuing education courses and keeping up with various publications. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family including her husband and three children.
