Lori graduated from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts after completing her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1994. She moved to NC after completing an internship at UNC Hospitals. Over the past 24 years, Lori brings clinical experience with brain injury/stroke rehab, long term care, acute care, and outpatient sports medicine/orthopedic clinics. She has always had a special interest in pelvic stability believing that pelvic control shapes all mobility. During her sports medicine career, she related to athletic injuries and general pain syndromes to pelvifemoral alignment and poor motor control issues.
During her pregnancy in 2003, Lori developed more specific interest in prenatal and post-partum care of pelvic floor issues in females. This launched her into a concentrated study of pelvic health. After years of continuing education with Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute, she focuses her practice to the treatment of females and males of all ages with pelvic health issues.
Lori now works as the Program Manager for Novant Health Pelvic Physical Therapy Clinic in the Winston-Salem Market. She worked closely with the Pelvic Health Providers to develop the creation of the Pelvic Health Center in 2016.
She has recently passed the Pelvic Practitioner Certification Exam from Pelvic Rehab Institute in 2018.
