Dr. Elizabeth Hampton is a physical therapist in practice since 1987 and owner of CorePhysio, a comprehensive, client centered PT clinic specializing in pelvic health, sports and orthopedics, concussion and vestibular rehab in Bellingham, WA. CorePhysio’s flagship clinic has all service lines delivered by a skilled team of 25 staff including 14 clinicians. Opened in 2017, CorePhysio’s secondary pelvic health specialty clinic is located within Pacific Northwest Urology, enabling collaborative care with their fabulous group of physicians. With two clinics and ongoing future growth, CorePhysio is unique in its model as well as exceptional mentorship for its team of 6 pelvic health clinicians within this program. Being embedded within comprehensive physical therapy care enables a fluency in pelvic health for the entire company.
Hampton is a 1987 graduate of Marquette University's program in physical therapy and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) through Evidence in Motion in 2016. She completed the Executive Program in Private Practice Management through EIM in 2015. Additionally Hampton has earned specialized certifications in Women's Health Physical Therapy (TWU), childbirth & doula education, Polestar Pilates Rehabilitation, as well as Board Certification in Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction Biofeedback through the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA). Elizabeth earned her Board Certification as a Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2009 and her PRPC through Herman and Wallace in 2019. She is proud to have earned the PRPC alongside her colleagues and study buddies Christine Eardley PT, GCS, PRPC, BCB-PMD and Angie Hilyar PT, DPT, PRPC!
Since 2006, Elizabeth has been faculty for the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, providing continuing education courses on pelvic floor dysfunction to health care providers across the United States. Her course, Finding the Driver in Pelvic Pain, is offered through Herman & Wallace and is representative of clinical reasoning and test item clusters to use in screening pelvic pain clients. Elizabeth is a published author in the field of pelvic health rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Sections on Women's Health, Orthopedics & Private Practice, the Private Practice Special Interest Group (PPSIG) as well as the Washington State Physical Therapy Association. She is the proud mum of Davis and Liv, and wife of Mike.
