Emily became interested in physical therapy after injuring herself playing soccer and attending physical therapy. She had a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Throughout her undergraduate degree, her love for physical therapy grew as she worked as a physical therapy technician. After completing her degree, she attended TCC to complete their PTA program and became a licensed physical therapist assistant. Since graduating, Emily has spent time working at orthopedic outpatient clinics and has enjoyed working with a wide variety of patients, including sports rehab, pelvic floor health, neurological issues, post-surgical along with many other diagnoses. Emily has her specialist certification in pelvic floor rehab through Herman &Wallace, working with diagnoses including prenatal, birth preparation, postpartum, constipation, incontinence, prolapse, etc. She has spent over 2,000 hours and 2 years of training to become certified as a Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner by the Herman and Wallace Institute. Emily and her husband live in Mansfield with their son, Landry, and their dog, Monty. They enjoy all things outdoors, including hiking and sports as well as staying involved in their church.
