I am a physical therapist at Glencoe Regional Health, a rural Minnesota hospital about an hour west of the Twin Cities. Treating in a rural community offers many advantages, including diverse patient populations, but also the ability to specialize in an area such as pelvic health that may otherwise be underserved geographically.
I am proud of our hospital for specifically taking a proactive approach to the peripartum and postpartum needs of our moms at GRH, allowing therapists to provide education to moms in the acute care setting, as well as in their postpartum recovery as outpatients. Being part of a comprehensive and knowledgeable team of providers is an asset to the communities we serve and I’m grateful to be part of this.
In addition, I am also afforded the ability to work with many other patients with orthopedic, neurologic and pelvic health rehab needs, including the pediatric population. I look forward to working alongside patients and families as we navigate ways to restore health and promote quality of life for themselves or their kids.
At home, I enjoy working in the garden and doing refurbishing projects. My husband and I also spend time watching our three kids participate in sporting and school activities.
