Hello! I am Karla Trotta, and welcome to my page. I look forward to getting to know you, but first a little about me. I graduated from University of Maryland, College Park, Summa Cum Laude, and University of Rhode Island, 2005, with my Master of Science in Physical Therapy. I continued further to get my Doctor of Physical Therapy, from Marymount University, in 2009. As a new graduate, my focus was orthopedics and manual therapy, but as I was working with my patients, especially my back and hip patients, I felt there was a missing piece, and it was the pelvic floor! The center of our bodies, the core of our being, ignored, and never talked about. I pursued knowledge to change that. I am driven to lifetime learning, so that I can continue to empower my patients every day, towards healing and wellness. I consider it an honor to be able to sit with my patients, to listen and learn about them, and sometimes like a puzzle, put the pieces together, to figure out the source of the dysfunction.
I desire to be part of your journey, to a life well-lived, without pain or dysfunction. May we meet soon!
