Carolyn earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2018 from St. Ambrose University after getting her B.S. in Kinesiology from Iowa State University. Since 2019 she has practiced as a pelvic floor specialist in outpatient settings. She has continually striven to expand her clinical knowledge and skill set, taking several continuing education courses focused on the pelvic floor, and earning her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification in May 2023.
Carolyn works with both men and women with pelvic floor dysfunction, treating conditions including urinary and fecal incontinence, dyspareunia, pelvic organ prolapse, constipation, diastasis recti, peripartum dysfunction, and pelvic pain. She utilizes manual therapy targeting deep and superficial pelvic floor muscles, dry needling, relaxation training, and progressive pelvic and core strengthening to help patients achieve their goals. Carolyn places a high priority on facilitating a safe and comfortable experience for all patients and strives to build a patient-therapist relationship based on trust and communication.
