Upon completion of this continuing education seminar, participants will be able to:
- Describe the importance of creating expectations for therapeutic interactions in pelvic health.
- Identify situations in which inappropriate behavior on the part of the patient creates risk for the clinic and providers.
- List and/or verbalize communication strategies to set boundaries and to reframe patient-therapist interaction when inappropriate behavior has taken place.
- Identify patients who should be discharged from care based on inappropriate behavior and how to manage the transfer of clinical care.
