Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Define and describe orthopedic considerations, biomechanics, and pressure management strategies in the perinatal high intensity athlete
- Modify high intensity athletics for perinatal athletes to maintain desired function and safety.
- Describe a breakdown of proper movement mechanics with weightlifting, gymnastics, and plyometrics, and how that may change with perinatal athletes.
- Review conditions that may require absolute contraindication to HIIT, and those that can be continued with precaution.
- Discuss collaborative approaches with local coaches/trainers.
