What is a satellite lab course? At satellite lab courses, participants and lab assistants gather in small groups to view lectures and practice hands-on techniques (called labs). The instructor is not physically present at the satellite location, and is presenting to multiple satellite locations from an off-site location via Zoom. During the lecture, the participants at the various satellites watch the instructor lecture live on a large screen. During labs, on-site lab assistants guide hands-on lab time which is done in pairs or groups of three.
Don't see a convenient event listed? Consider hosting a satellite at your location! You can also attend most satellite courses remotely with a partner, under the Self-Hosted course option.
Not able to attend courses on a Saturday? Check out our offerings of Non-Saturday Courses.
What is a Remote Course? Registrants can attend remote courses entirely from home, or another location. Registrants in remote courses can attend the course "solo" and do not need to find a partner or small group.
